Wet fill I was told was around 1.3-1.4L, dry fill is 1.7L (which is usually never the case unless its a fresh rebuilt box).
how much F***king oil should a T50 hold, ive spent the last 45mins trying to get the filler hole open and i can't, i just smashed myself in the face with my breaker bar as the nut eventually rounded itself.
i will be now filling oil thru my shifter, and if anyone can enlighten me as to how much oil i should put in, my car can go for a drive this evening.
thanks guys

Tip for future reference. Remove the filler plug before the drain plug and if it wont come out measure how much oil came out or read the owners manual.
All ways try and remove the filler 1st.
I've done exact same thing, accept round it off. Have you tried smashing on smaller size ?
Might be handy to buy set of these, dealing with old cars its going to happen more then once
pair of vice grips worked best thanks to a dodgy person...st.r....had tried to use a chisel to open the plug only prob the chisel was also one the box casting thus it didnt open but pair of vice grips worked a treat....
i heard some people weld on another nut onto the rounded nut and use the new nut to break the mofo open
thats if you can be bothered haha
get a cold chissle on it! it works trust me do it at work all the time, but you need a new not non the less
hey where do you live? I have a tool that should work well on it, its like a vice grip but for pipes. Either that or the oversized multigrips I have

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Sam_Q @ Mar 16 2008, 08:59 PM) </div>i live in Camberwell/Hawthorn area, i ended up just chucking about 1.7 litres in it anyway, drove it aroudn the block a few times, twas running shit, due to the alternator not working propperly....I'm assuming it felt like shit at 4k+ because of the drained battery and the alternator not being wired correctly, therefore not being able to charge the coil fast enough? i hope thats the case, otherwise the engines a bit funny. haha
did it sound like a bad misfire at higher revs? because I had that once before when my alternator died and it didnt get the 14V it needed.
