hello again guys back with more problems !

Ok whats going on is is wen i go to turn the car on ( cold start ) it starts with abit of cranking but wen it starts it idles fine for

5-10 mins and then it dies out randomly. And then wen i go to start it again it starts to miss fire, and idle really shitty like its

only running on 1 piston or sumthing. but I'm sure the timing is right cos it idles fine wen it starts, do u guys think my dizzy

could be screwed up? ohh and i forgot to add that I'm using a surge tank setup with a lifter pump and a bosch 044 fuel pump ..

i also thought could it be that theres to much petrol being pumped into the motor which could flood my motor? pls correct if I'm

wrong but yeh i used a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure and wen i checked the gauge, the needle was all the way at

the end which is 700+ kPa. I'm pretty sure the standard kPa is somewhere in between 205 and 2065 kPa something like that.

If i was to get a fuel pressure regulator am i able to adjust back the fuel pressure back to standard? and i can i still run the 044 ?

and how will i got about with fixing the miss firing problem ?

any response is greatly apreciated mang :2thumbs:

one thing i suggest is when it dies, pull out a few spark plugs.

if they are wet then too much fuel is going in.

if they are nice and dry then either the right amount of fuel isnt going in, or its running lean..

if its running that rich, you should be able to smell it out the exhaust!

might want to also check to see if you got a nice strong blue spark out of the plugs, your coil might be starting to die or something, not giving a strong spark.

i dunno much about 4age dizzys, they got points? or electronic dizzy? if its points might want to either replace them (pretty cheap), or if its electronic then don't worry about it.

if this engine was a rb30 from a VL then your problem would be CAS overheating.

I suspect the same. except you wouldn't have a CAS.

I have read a thread similar to this not that long ago, i forget the diagnosis.

Ill see if i can find it for you.
    Insert witty comment here....
