you need a MAP sensor
i think theyre all the same accross bigport/smallport
hey guys,
I recently got a JDM BIgport 4AGE motor. Now I got the motor and RWD alternator setup only, so no manifolds, ecu, loom, etc, etc......
Now, iam trying to gather all the gear i need to install the motor.
So,
I have just bought a JDM RWD Loom and ECU off another user on this site.
But, iam slightly confused with the whole AFM/MAP sensor setup. How do i know if i need a AFM or MAP sensor?
What are the contributing factors? What parts do i need to get a hold of?
Does it all depend on the ECU?????
Please don't Flame me, iam just not sure........
I also got a set of quad ITB with it, but no adapter plate. Do i Sell the ITB's and get a inlet manifold, or go down the Quad TB path?
What would i need to make the ITB's work? Adapter plate, Aftermarket ECU???????? etc..........
Any help/info is genuinally appriciated...........
Oh, and the car will just be used for a daily pig.....
thanks peoples,
thanks,
Joe

sell the quads and buy a normal bigport rwd manifold.
will be so much better for a daily and easy to use with your loom. and save $$ in conversion and fuel
get the MAP sensor, thats what you need, and you will have the correct plug on the RWD loom for it.
i have a map sensor if you need it, its in 4sale section. Came of my JDM bigport loom.
not all the same biggo, not sure of differences but i tried a smallport one once (when i thought my original died) it didnt work, car didnt want to start at all, ecu reported map sensor troubles.
Insert witty comment here....
thankyou guys

Clean quads should sell for around $200-250, ive seen quads sell for $20 right up too $350
But its usually "the worth of something second hand is only what the buyer/buyers are willing to pay".
