    Hi all

Just a few tech questions I've had on my mind

    a) My distributor on my 4age seems to be leaking some oil. (didnt think there was supposed to be any fluid coming out of there)
Anyhow its not much , but seems to be dripping on to my extractors causing bit of smoke to come up as it gets heated up.
is this a sign of something worse or can I safely ignore it?

    B) My throttle cable is a bit bent.. well I was trying to increase tension in it and made it worse by putting a kink/bend in it.
Are cables able to with stand this or is it going to snap soon?

    Thats all for now

    cheers

Replace the o-ring on your dizzy.

Not at all a hard job, you could do it in half an hour. Make sure your dizzy is back in the right spot when you remove it. best bet is to mark it all out. The ring should be the same across all bigports. Or just go into a parts shop and get them to find you one the right size from the sample you bring in?

And i can't think of a replacement cable off the top of my head, there are some, someone else will post the right answer in a sec no doubts
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Javal @ Jun 10 2008, 09:35 PM) </div>It depends where the oil is coming from out of the dizzy. If its coming from the inside under dizzy cap, its actually the internal shaft seal that needs replacing. If you don't know how/have the equipment to take the dizzy apart, leave it to an auto sparky (you also cannot buy the seal from toyota).

If the outside, then as javal said its the outer o-ring.

The outer o-ring costs $7 from toyota, just ask for an ae82 distributor o-ring.
