Default part number for 4AGE bluetop TPS?

my cars been having this ongoing problem where it doesn't want to accelerate when you hit the throttle it just stutters. its really annoying to drive, almost unbearable. anyway I suspect that it might have something to do with the TPS. when I replaced it the new one had a different part number printed on it then the old one so figure maybe its running like crap because its running the wrong TPS. so my question for someone with an AE86 bluetop 4AGE that runs good - what is the part number of your TPS?

there are many tps part no.'s.....

Pretty much any 4a tps is compatible, all have the same output. Even if you had a round plug you could change it to a square plug and it will work fine.

If you want to eliminate tps, unplug it and take it for a drive. If it improves then you might need to set it up properly, or if it is setup correctly then you might have an issue elsewhere in the wiring.

i used toyodiy to order this one and somehow got one with a different part number, and it looks different. how would I locate an issue in the wiring? its been to an electricians hundreds of times and they haven't been able to locate the cause. whenever they readjust the tps it drives good for a week, then the problem slowly creeps in and after the 2nd week it's pretty much completely fucked again

i've personally found that FWD and RWD ones are different. i helped a friend with the same issue and ended up having to swap entire throttle bodys because of the incompatibility between fwd and rwd versions.
so if you cant find the part number, just buy another assembly.

Yeah should have mentioned, JDM and ADM are different (fwd and rwd can be the same, ie ae82 fxgt and ae86), but im talking about electrical compatibility.

You also dont need to change the entire throttle body, only the wing which activates the tps.

in reference to the wing which activates the tps, jdm sits vertically and adm sits horizontally right?

Yeah correct. Don't know why they changed it but its an adm/jdm thing.

Simple to fix providing you have both throttle bodies (or the wing), just a 10mm nut hold it on.

you mean a throttle body assembly? that wouldn't be pretty difficult to find one.

after the last time I been to the electrician he said it could be the MAP sensor as it's the only thing that doesn't check out. just tried toyota spare parts and they cost over $400! does anyone know if there are any cheaper aftermarket ones available?
