Could you take some pics?
You have either:
-lined the box up wrong (on a slant and put the dowel in a bolt hole)
-don't have a t50 or a belhousing for 4a
-somehow trying to bolt up 2x 4age' together
hey everyone, i am doing a 4age conversion and ive run into a problem, i went to bolt the gearbox up to the motor today, and half of the bolts don't seem to line up? its a adm t50 and a bigport 4age, with the dowels that are spose to go in the top of the bell housing, the dowel is on the passenger side top sticking out of the engine, whereas the whole for it in the bellhousing is in the drivers side top, and a couple of the bolts just don't seem to go anywhere? I'm confused, please help

yeah im not sure exactly what the engine is, the guy told me that its a 4age bigport but some signs show it may be a gze, it has an oil return on the sump and a feed on the block just above it, and yeah ill take some pictures tomorow when its light but yeah just measured the flywheel too and its 215mm contact face
4ages where released with oil cooler, that returned to sump(banjo barb fitting on sump)
t50 to suit t series motor?
count the teeth on the output shaft of the gearbox and post the answer here
right, just went out and counted some output shaft teeth, and there appears to be 21, also i had a look for some markings on the box and all i found was an old toyota logo on the lower drivers side and 1-2 written underneath it
i thought all T box's were 21 splines on input , only vary in the output, 20,22 or 23.
correct me if im wrong
best was to line them up is to look at where the stater motor bolts up.
also if your clutch splines are not aligned with the splines in the crank it will make your job 5 times harder,
but take some pics so we can see what your on about.
right, i was incorrect in my last post, input is 21 spline, output is 20, i have taken many pictures to show the gearbox and the back of the motor
