Default how to fit a 1jz into ae71

    hello everyone

I'm in the middle of the conversion at the moment 1jz into my ae71 but I have a problem where

the engine oil sump is sitting right no the crossmember and also blocking steering rack,

Apparently by lowering the corssmember by 20mm and modifying the engine's mount may work but I have tried and it failed.

So does anyone know how to make it fit?

also does anyone know this car?

friend of mine saw this car at the JDMST car meet

    number plate XVL 247

if anyone knows who this person is could you please introduce to me? As i'm very keen to know how he did it and if he permit me to see his car that would be even awesome!

    Many thanks
    Henri

You need a front sump to clear the stearing rack

If you get on toymods, send Phil (1jz-rolla) a message..... He has just parted his AE71 panelvan, but he can give you pointers as he has done this conversion to a high standard.....

    Hi mate,

You will need a front sump 1JZ sump out of a JZX90 chaser to clear the crossmember I believe.

    Cheers,
    Shazza

Haha~ looks like everybody knows him when it come to a conversion like this. Yea I have spoke to him for a while now, he is very nice and friendly, explained most of the stuff, but a lot of stuff he did he don't have picture for it, so everything was done verbally. So I thought hopefully someone might have picture for it >__<

haha~ but the 1JZ just lying in my backyard, so I thought, why not

sounds easy but once you start working on it, lot of pain in the ass, but thanks to everyone contributing ideas, and 99% all works out so far
