as long as it has the correct CCA it should be fine, not too badly priced either. Some motorbike battery's will also work.
Hey hey,
My battery has shat itself and I'm looking at upgrading. My last battery was big and bulky, so I'm looking for a battery that's small and light.
My car is an ae86 1983 4age drift set up.
A mate put me onto Odyssey batteries, can someone share their experiences?
Cheers!

Im using a PC680MJ at the moment, though I have used a smaller one briefly with success.
Any of the odyssey batteries are awesome though.
Ok great thanks for the advice, looks like odyssey is the way to go
Dry Cells are win.
i get drycells(fullriver) 450cca 250x97x142 around the 200 mark
Only thing with dry cell batterys, is that you need to keep them charged.......
Dry cell batteries suffer alot from memory. And they fuck out much quicker than regular battries if you dont keep it charged......

Had oddessey batteries in one of my cars. Shittest warranty of any battery the time frame on the warranty is not from your time of purchase but from when the store bought it so buy a old stock battery and you may have no coverage and the life of oddessy batteries are not great. Just from my experience anyways
Pretty sure this is the same size full river battery I run in my 20v 86 - EDIT - just looked and the one I have might be smaller like the ----> PC680 or HC20 (full river is the budget line of odyssey or optima or one of the well know brands I believe)
I cant fault it, it has actually surprised the hell out of me - note I have never had the car up and running or ever driven regularly (only running in the garage), but It took a hell of a beating when I first did my conversion and we were cranking the car many many times with initial start up, and that was over 2 years ago, It has sat in the car since then and has been able to start the car first go every time on many occasions without ever been charged once, I'm quite impressed with it.
Also I think' that it is a completely sealed battery opposed to been a true dry-cell (don't quote me on that though)
