Default AE86 trailer - Anyone done it?

    fellas,

As some of you will know, I crashed my gold 86 drift car last week.

The front of the car is fucked, but it's perfect from the firewall back.... I have had the thought of maybe turning it into a trailer.
I could then tow it with the new 86 drift car to events and fill it with tools and wheels/tyres. It would be a mad rig I reckon..

Does anyone know of this being done before?

Can't see why not! There could be a few ways of going about it though.

yeah, been thinking of where to cut it. It would be cool to leave it from the firewall back, but it might be a heavy when all loaded up.
If it was cut from the doors back, it would be too small............

i think you would be fine to leave it firewall back. it really isn't ever going to be heaps heavy, just tyres, tools etc? if it was heavy i think having the axel so far to the rear of the load may become an issue. you would have to get some sort of massive wing on it for the lols

Dual axles in the middle (as if it was on a car trailer) replace diff with trailer axle, set to appropriate."ride height" for the now defunct stationary rear wheels. Make doors gullwing, and square the front end up so you can have a bbq under the bonnet. Yeah im a sick #### engineering mad man after a few, shouldnt of told you though now you wont sell it to me

I reckon it would be cool to load and unload your gear through the pass/drivers side doors if you do from the firewall back.
You could even turn it into a mini caravan with a pop top tent on the hatch like to the old torana hatchbacks use to do. Sounds silly but do-able.
