Ah right, still odd... I just had NPC press on a new bearing and I didn't really take much notice of the old one, apart from feeling that is was thoroughly shagged.
I have a feeling that bearing is put on backwards. Care to take a pic of the bearing on the other side?

so its meant to be a part of the thrust bearing?
everytime i swap a clutch in one of my boxes i dont alter anything on the thrust bearing, just put the new one straight on from the box...
so could possibly be a case of just grab a new thrust bearing
ill have a look at my spare box and thrust bearing setup tomorrow to be sure
Aight so I got another one today, was second hand. But now I realise what was wrong
Basically it was that worn that the metal face of the bearing came off and the ring was all that remainnedhere is some pics
haha what a dill! I was only thinking about this the other day.
