i was in at my dealer seeing how far off mine will be and he said im lucky i got in when i did, the wait time is out to 18 months now for gts, gt are a little quicker to get

spoke to a local dealer here in QLD, he was really really helpful, showed me a list of 86's where the buyer couldn't secure finance but the cars are still coming in (as they will sell) so he had a list of GT/GTS Manual/Auto and colors I could chose from arriving March
So maybe ask you local dealer if you want a short lead time and are flexible on some choices etc

Yours and Mine probably was on the same boat, damn wharfies though ... that strike, I got a call from Toyota Prosser saying might be delay. but Wharfies went back to work the other day. Hope toyota was able to get cars out and process it quick hard with all the holidays off that coming around the corner~

I'm pretty sure I have the cheapest White GTS Auto with extras (tinting and 5 year warranty) xD, since I got staff discounted on the extras haha.
I'm going with RAC, My previous car couldn't RAC don't like imports =,(

Probably are on the same shipment. The cars are OUT of the port and are at Kewdale holding yard getting radio and boot mat fitted. Hazel @ TWA said cars should start getting delivered from Monday (maybe this Friday - if strike didn't happen).
We only lost one day with the strike but it really means the difference of before christmas delivery or after. For you, it will probably be NYE at the earliest since you need tinting and I assume full detail on the car (ie strip all the plastics off, full wash and polish). My car will be delivered with all plastics left on (inside and out, no wash) so that means all it needs is the PDI and plates fitted (1/2 a day at most).
RAC are too expensive for me.... I should really be paying 700-800 at most (not 1200+ like RAC want).

Sweet mate. Getting your ride hopefully before xmas. Pretty jealous. I was told the wait could possibly be 19 months if I were to have the order exactly to my taste. Guess I might have to make compromises if I want fast delivery.
yeah I got told via facebook that our went to kewdale. yeh tinting will be awhile. I'm happy it was able to get out of the ports.

Just got an email saying that car is at dealer....
Might be able to pickup today or tomorrow.
EDIT: Monday will probably be pickup date! Rego is the limiting factor!

maaaaaaad, i got linked to a tracking site for the ship that my car is one arrived in port today or late yesterday so with luck i might have it next week i want it before new yearrrrr
