always wanted to do a rotary swap in mine too! id be budgeting alot more than 1k for a motor tho, wouldnt just buy it and chuck it in, get it freshened up and comp tested at least. ive owned a few rotaries, trust me when i say your alot better off rebuilding a motor before it blows koz when it does, its very expensive! rebuilds alone cost around 2.5k, add porting and the time it takes to RnR the motor, itll add up very, very quickly

I think what the lads are saying brad is a 13b Bridgeport or peripheral port, and if it was me, I would go NON turbo...... A good ported 13b non turbo makes perfect power for AE86s....... Trust me, it will still fry tyres....

yeah I have realised a good half cut is around 3.5k lol come at me tax time lol. if u get a motor and it seams healthy if I pull it apart to inspect the internals will I need a full rebuild gasket kit?? and what are they worth . the half cut im looking at is a 13b TT only change I will do is a big fuel system and a rev limiter to stop from fuel cut.

Yea. I had a buddy that did a street port turbo 2 in his 87 coupe.....drove just like an FC. So much so actually, he pulled the car back apart and parted it out haha.
