    Cool Aircon compresser removal

    Car - JDM AE86

    motor - Big port 4age

    use - skids

problem - Air con Compressor removal

    occurs/started when - engine removal

    personal situation - ffs.

    Hey guys

Is it safe to just remove the two flexible hoses that go into the compressor, or will we die?

also, removing the aircon completely is out of the question, and is not up for debate!

    thanks guys
    robo.

You wont (as long as you hold your breath) but the atmosphere will.

not saying you should do it unless its pretty much out of gas anyway

if so just unbolt the compressor and tie it up to the side

Go to a mechanic. Get it de-comissioned (degassed). Pay the man not alot of money.

    Remove all components.

    Win.

I've done it the dodgy way before. Don't.

undo compressor and tie to the side if you wish to keep it. othewise jst open the bleed valve up and vent it at your neighbours or perhaps some small children that might be around

Oh, you're changing engines, not removing the aircon?

In this case, unbolting the compressor and moving it off to the side is the preferred method.

    You win the prize.
