    Default Ke70 wiring question Help..

    Watsup..

So ive been looking for a while and cant find a answer specific to my question. On my ke70 the loom coming out near the booster that runs along the firewall, i need to know what these wires do. At the 6 pin plug it has these wires and so far ive worked out that...

    Yellow-Black stripe - temp sensor
    Purple - ??
    Red-Blue stripe - Reverse lights
    Yellow-Green stripe - ??
    Red-Blue stripe - Reverse Lights

Can someone confirm this, im probably wrong!! Where do the other purple and yellow wires go/do??

    Thanks for the help guys

ok so i guess the yellow-black stripe goes to coolant temp on the head, and the yellow-green stripe goes to oil pressure sender..?

Yellow black is oil pressure, yellow green water temp on the top water outlet to radiator.

Purple not sure, probs 4k specific. On an ae86 or ae71 the 5th wire is usually starter signal, but I'm sure this is not the case on a ke70

red / blue are reverse lights
    Yellow/black - oil pressure
    Yellow/green - Temp
    Purple - Ignore (nothing important)

Purple is important maaan, it's for the emissions computer...

which I've never been able to find.

and by computer I think it's a mechanical "computer". a speed operated valve.
and that's as far as I cared to look into it.

Fair enough.. I think I'll just trace it back and see where it goes not really bothered with emissions and it was probably something 4k related witch us long gone!!

Can anyone tell me how the oil pressure wire works does it just activate the oil light on low pressure? Does it become useless if I put a oil pressure guage in??

yes and yes. and when you say you pressure, it's like 21kPa max (I think, I vaguely remember seeing a 9kPa one) which is ~3psi. Engine's GONE if that comes on while cornering and revving.
