UPDATE:
Well, this week was full of joy and despair....
I got the engine in and all fitted up, and fired her up.... Took a while to get it started, but was running smoothly after that.
Rego had run out 5 months ago, so I had to get rego before I could drive the car...
I obviously needed a good wheel alignment so booked in for the next day at my local specialist (Capital Steering and Suspension).
It was a great feeling to drive the car for the first time again to the wheel aligners, even without a proper alignment...
That all went well, dialed in -3.5 camber, 3deg castor, and 1mm total toe out..
This was a great momentThe cars repair seems to have worked well.....
Now, for the despair![]()
The drive home from the wheel aligners to my place, is about 15kms...... In that time/distance, my turbo manifold (stainless crap) deceided to severley crack, causing a fugging massive leak..... This manifold has already been welded once before, which was ON THE WAY to Raleigh Drift Fest 01, which was the last time I drove the car. (driving up from Canberra, I had to stop in Newcastle and pull my all turbo setup off and find somewhere to weld it).
I will not tolarate such poor reliability with these shitty stainless manifolds. I have sourced a stock manifold yesterday, and I am going to change it over today. Very fugging annoying to say the least!
On another note, I also got the TRD 2 way all fixed up and picked it up today... At the previous Drift Fest 01, I destroyed the C&P from the diff, and have been using a horrible welded centre as the emergency replacement which I want to pull out ASAP...
New diff centre bearings, and a very good condition replacement 4.1 C&P (dont need higher for turbo setups). Feels very tight and smooth, and will get it back in the car sometime before DF2 next week. :/

Yep those Chinese tube manifolds are absolute garbage!
Never have issues with the stock manifold![]()
^^^ Yeah, I will just use the stock one, as the car has enough power, and dont want to spend a stupid price on a steampipe manifold, but I want the car to be reliable, thats the main thing....
I still need to find a solution to replace the shitty chinese stainless dump pipe. With my setup, I need a dump pipe that dumps straight away (pretty much 90deg).... To give you some idea, the standard factory dump pipe DOES NOT fit. It doesn't angle down enough.... (plus, the stock dumps are horribly restrictive)

Have you cracked a dump to? They should be alright, although there not very smooth inside, there is little weight bearing on them.
Yes, This is the second dump pipe... This first one got welded once, and then the second time it broke completly in half....
They are so shit

Well, after trying to re fit the exhaust so there is no stress on it, I have given up....... The existing exhaust no longer fits because the chassis was re aligned...
Something I really cant afford right now.....
