The motors are pretty much the same, Just use the correct wiring harness to suit the ECU and you will be fine.
You can of course create your own wiring harness and go the aftermarket ECU option, Depends how much money you have to spend..
hey guys,
I just got a JDM 16v 4AGE, with no loom or ecu, and was wondering what my options are.
What loom do i need?
Is there a differance between a JDM and ADM loom?
And ecu's, what do i need? Aus or Jap?
can i just run a microtech and not worry about looms etc?
any ideas?
much appriciated,
J

Either ecu will work on either wiring harness.
I've used a JDM ecu on an ADM loom.
I'm currently using an ADM ecu on a JDM loomJust need to give injectors power

if you got a 4age engine, then you will need a 4age loom or build aftermarket one. Either way, you will also need to make amendments to your AE86 dash loom as it doesn't have idle up, circuit-open-relay and few other parts for EFI. This means you be running few extra wires etc. If you want less fuss and more reliablity, go with the JDM 4age efi loom, inside out...plug and play.
