Have to say, from the look of it and from the consensis of DC opinion this thread needs to be renamed... not a whole bunch of fail lurking around here...

Sorry, my last post was slightly incorrect.
Instead of autoliv, I meant to type klippan. Autoliv do the testing, klippan belts are quite easy to buy. It looks like rare spares can get them for you.
Try this out, brand new belts for an ae85 trueno, ae85 sprinter.
hatch seat belts wont work on coupes
Thanks for the info Adan, shall be seeing you this weekend at Wakefield?
Owning a JDM car is cool for wank factor
Owning a ADM sprinter is cool, but just not as much as a JDM one
overall i've come down to knowing what i want, and that's for a drivable AE86 with least amount of dramas, and im not to a good start
Engineering cert or re-shell, what ever comes first will be done, i will have a AE86 on road!
there's an AE86 that parks at a University my GF goes to, thinking about dropping him a "WTB YOUR CAR" letter on his window and see if he'll bight the bait..

Also, seeing we do quite a bit of second stage compliance at work, I thought Id see if i can find more info for you.
Does this car have a compliance plate fitted?
Is it a raws compliance plate?
Do you have the SA rego papers and stuff?
If it has been complied to be registered in australia, it would have already met the applicable ADRs, no matter which state it was done in. Therefore, really you only need to meet the requirements to do a transfer of rego from another state to NSW.
Which should be a blue slip. You might need engineering for the lack of seat and belts, but the rest of the car doesnt need anything done, as long as it has the compliance plate fitted, and passes the blue slip.
Otherwise, I have always wanted a notch back. If my shell didnt have the kink in the rail I would offer it straight away ;P I would potentially be interested in the bare shell though...
Klippan have a coupe listing, its not under sprinter or trueno though (under corolla ae85 - coupe)
K7148RR
K7149LR
I'll check out what my coupe has. Can take a pic and show you how they are mounted? When I got it I had some adm seats in the back of it (all bolt in if you have the hinges and catches) as apparently it came in without rear seats (from what ive been told).

Well well well
Drift matsuri was shit honestly, Not the people, the event and track wasn't the best entertainment of 2 days as a spectator..
Anyways, left drift matsuri on Sunday avo early for personal reasons
Pics later tonight. Massive LOL

Yeah, I dont know why they tried to appeal so much to spectators. Wakefield has always been pretty shit for spectating. But, it's the event/location more suited to be actually driving it.....
Such an insane weekend for me, being the first time ever sliding on an actual racetrack...... (and 3rd gear entrys)![]()
Got to spend time working on differant techniques.... Some work well, and some sent me massively failing off the track... lol lol
1974 MX22 MARK II CORONA HARDTOP COUPE - Awaiting a full restoration
Yeah you guys had a blast I could tell by just watching, got footage of all you guys too, just need a computer to make a video and upload it. Though wished the traffic was less, a lot less, would of had more shots of you guys doing your thing.
Maxhag you got better as the days went by that's for sure, and made it into the competition! I thought they were just trolling LOL.
Good times for sure, next time I must be out their with my own ride though.
Anyways can't wait to get home and start spinning spaners in the garage again.

Lol,
as much as I would like to take the credit, but that wasn't me driving in the comp. One of the Pro Comp drivers (Steve Prembrey 'Toysprinta' on this forum) needed a car after his R31 he was using blew a gearbox. Steve (Toysprinta) borrowed my car to compete. He had never driven the car before what you saw during the comp. Pretty good considering he blasted down the straight and hit the first corner without knowing the car....
He was supposed to have his 86 (with Aurion motor) ready for the Matsuri, but it wasn't ready to go.
I actually started to do worse and spin alot on the Sunday afternoon, that because I was experimenting trying new techniques, setups and bigger entrys from advice taken. Just fiquring out what worked for me....
